BDSM & Kink

More and more people are becoming aware, talking about, and practising BDSM and kink.

For many it is still heavily stigmatised and taboo, yet, there are communities dedicated to it all over the world.

There is growing evidence and research showing the health benefits of consensual BDSM and kink.

What is BDSM?

BDSM is one of those clever acronyms which covers 3 main areas:

  • Bondage and Discipline (B&D)
  • Domination and Submission (D&s)
  • Sadism and Masochism (S&M)

What are your kinks?

10 years ago, I wouldn’t be able to answer the question. For a start, I didn’t really know. Secondly, I don’t think I would have had the courage to answer truthfully, let alone have the language to support it.

One of the most useful sources I have had during my exploration is the BSDM test. ‘What kind of sexual deviant are you?’ is scrawled on the homepage of this site. You can choose to take a long test or a short one, you can take the test anonymously or login. Whatever you choose you end up with a scale of traits that can be surprisingly revealing as well as new terms you didn’t even know.

Ethical BSDM

It is worth saying that I LOVE introducing people to impact play, domination, surrender and primal. Ensuring the art of creating agreements, regular check-ins and solid aftercare are woven into this experience and teaching.
