Self regulation is when you have awareness of, and control over, your thoughts, feelings and actions.
Developing self regulation allows us to be less triggered, or have more choice about how we react to what triggers us. We can experience difficult feelings and emotions, and have a choice around how we act upon them.
By becoming more embodied, having a neutral space to express our feelings — tapping into unprocessed memories, experiences and sensations within our body — we can have more agency as to how we operate, how we manage feelings and build a healthier relationship to them.
I offer embodied coaching and bodywork to develop self regulation.
The techniques I use include breathwork, embodiment practices, abdominal massages, body scans, and a safe space for discussion.
With practice and awareness, our ability to self regulate improves. This can both enhance the way we feel and how we relate to others.
This is about having more choice over feelings and emotions.
